4 Susan Freeman and Darrin Lauscher find that two makes better company than one. Susan and Darrin are both Freshman and are loving every minute of it. Disco-dancer Pam Syrus struts for the camera. She came to West from Warner, Ok. The fire totally wiped out the library in the old building. So, this year we had to start from scratch, said Mrs. Casey. The library is slowly filling up with books, magazines and audio visual equipment thanks to other city schools, patrons and the dedicated work of Mrs. Casey. She added that she would try to mold the library into a media center situation. wNE.Sl Carol Ellison works off excess energy be fore her afternoon classes. Second-vice president Marcia Asquith waves 'bye-'bye to Mr. Tobey's calico .The school playground was a place for friends to sit and talk on lunch hour. The CUl'IBif1S- large, grassy campus was a natural for rest and relaxation. ',:p- Students Prove 1980 To Be The Best Year Ever activities than was expected. Victory parties at Ken's Pizza were overflowing, as was the enthusi- asm. The conduct of the student body at victory parites has been greatly improved over last year. School spirit is really better than it was last year. It makes me glad I'm a cheerleader, said head cheerleader Sally Simpson. I think maybe the fire had alot to do with it. The attendance at football games has gone up, so has the score, she proudly stated. The yells have been Iouder. ludy Mitch- ell, cheerleader sponsor, said that she was very impressed with the school enthusiasm. The students worked together this year more ever than ever before. Each person took part in making this the best year ever. 3
