Staring disgustedly at her science notes, Freshman Pat Robertson reviews for the upcoming test. She learned from her high score on the test the following day that studying really is worthwhile. Q 4 i fs v 4 Bubba Welch, first-vice president Kelli johnson, and Terri Canaday take time to pose for a picture while enjoying a B Lunch softball game. v Stacy Ford, editor of the West Express, corrects a mistake in her typing before the publishing of the upcoming of the school newspaper. The West Express was a main source of information for the students, as well as being fun to read. The local gossip seemed to be the most popular topic in the paper. Her staff included one freshman, two eighth graders and one seventh grader: Julie Wright, Mary Woodard, Lori Brown, and julie Guthrie. CBCDY DCES lT BETTER 4. Ni The 8:10 bell rang and once again another year's activities began. Students opened 'their books and began another hard year of studying. English, math, social studies, and science became a part of their daily routine. The work wasn't easy but we did it. However, it didn't occupy the entire day's hours. Students kept busy by joining the Pep Club and cheering on the sports teams, selling candy- bars for the Student Council, attending matches with the traveling debate team, rehearsing for this year's Freshman Play, competing with other fourth hour classes in softball games during A and B lunches, making floats for the holiday parades, rehearsing for choir concerts, working in the Regal Eagle concession stand, campaigning for Student Council offices and attending pep assem- blies.
