Sherrie Bourg, Miss Junior Class Sherrie Bourg, a Junior at L. W. Higgins, was selected Miss Junior Class by a panel of four judges. Parrie Austin was selected first runner-up; Denise Everett was second runner-up; Tracy Walley was third runner-up; and Angie Taylor was fourth runner-up. The pageant, which was sponsored by the West Jefferson Junior Class, is open only to the Junior girls at L. W. Higgins. The contestants promenaded before a panel of judges, and ten semi-finalists were selected on the basis of beauty and poise. Then from the ten, the queen and four runners-up were selected on beauty, poise, and personality. The queen and her court will reign over the Junior Prom to be held on April 20, 1 979, at the Four Columns in Marrero. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Cain posed with their daughter, Sherrie Bourg, after she was crowned queen. 52
