Industrial Arts The Industrial Arts department is a vital part of the West Jefferson curriculum. There are three areas of the Industrial Arts program. In the mechanical drawing division, students learn how to draw and to read drawings in the first year of study. In the second year, the stu- dents learn to make and to read blueprints. Woodworking students construct such objects as benches, trophy cases, cedar chests, gun chests, etc. Classes are offered in automobile as well as other motors. Mr. Edward Bischoff, the department coordina- tor, said he was pleased with the outstanding work of the students in the department this year. 261
