Student Council Serves The Student Council is a group of students elected by a given constituency of students. Every student in the school has a voice in student affairs through a homeroom representative. Monthly meetings are held with the homeroom representatives to make plans for events, discuss problems between the students and the Adminis- trators, and to give needed information on all stu- dent activities. During the year Student Council organizes the Homecoming festivities, sponsor ' s Beach Night, Student Council Week, and special activities. The Student Council holds elections for student council officers with the use of voting machines and class officers as well. Benefit causes that the student council assists include needy families with the Thanksgiving Baskets, Doll and Toy Fund, Unicef, Muscular Dystrophy, and March of Dimes. Officers elected for the coming year are sent to workshops during the summer by the Student Council. The officers of the student council also attend the state convention in November. Mr. J. Potts and Mrs. E. Brignac are the Advisors of this organization.
