f ififlhy ffjdl - Mr, Martina gave a most interesting talk on the significance of the class ring. Each senior class president led his class up to the stage. Seated with Mr. Martina, the president handed the principal the ring from the special dowels and each student walked up to receive his ring. The proud seniors then walked through the ring and off the stage. After the activities in the auditorium the seniors and their par- ents went to the cafeteria for refreshments. Immediately following the Ring Day Reception the Seniors were dismissed for the day. For the seniors nothing more need be said as each wears his ring proudly. And for the Juniors and Sophomores - just wait, your turn is comin g. M1 Joe Warr, George Hebert, Mike Latino, Maurice Molison, and Dave Guillot. Parents and friends view Hub-bub as seniors autograph hats. I A X X E Senior class president, Gail Richoux, carries her homeroom rings. Dennis Lafont closely followed by Rene Hidalgo. ct 912101 Ring Day! The words that echo in the ears of every senior from the first day of their senior year. They wait and wait and wait and yet when it comes they're caught unexpectedly --caught in the whirlwind of excitement, gaiety and confu- sion that mounts up as they near this great event. West Jefferson held its Senior Ring Day Ceremonies on Friday, November 14, with the entire student body, parents of the seniors and friends as special guests at this most impressive ceremony. Seniors wore graduation caps of silver with scarlet tassels. The letters WJ were outstanding on the top of the caps. The stage was brightly decorated and the traditional ring , was placed in the center, L ln line ready to go up. JL v 1 Jackie Donahue happily descends the steps with her ring, Class anxiously awaiting the big moment. s . s t sig r Bob Farrington hands a ring to Mr, Martina.
