It gives high school boys and girls the opportunity to gain experience in many phases of radio work, announcing, reporting, tape-recording, some technical work, and panel discussions, book reviews, and dramatic work. Students from all the surrounding parishes meet in the studio and in the various schools, exchange opinions, take part in competitive skills, and best of all, become good friends. A special feature of the Hi-Lites program is the annual Ideal Boy and Girl Contest, Competitive activities such as an announcer's contest, a poetry reading contest, and extemporaneous speaking contest, are included in the year's program,
