Class Prophecy On May 27, 1960, We set sail, but where will we anchor? Let ' s listen to a broadcast that could take place on May 27, 1970. This is station WHHS with the latest news bulletins on the Class of 1960. First in the news. Andy Harris, electronics engineer, has just landed on the moon and will be making experiments in a few days. Next, we hear that Lou Ellen Mason finally receivedher diamond, as well as a wedding band, and is living in West Virginia with her husband, C. J. Gibbs, Jr. Here ' s a special bulletin. Gene Carawan, still his ole natural self, is having a formal open¬ ing of the Skeet Motel. ElizabethAnn Harris has just been appoint¬ ed private secretary to the Secretary of State. Good Luck! Lt. Bobby Spencer, stationed in California, is living it up with all the beautiful blonde starlets. He always enjoyed the company of a blonde . Do you have a business problem? If so, take it to Spencer Inc., run by the former Sandra Swindell and her husband, Larry. Back to the news. Absent-minded Professor Eric Swindell, physicist in electronics, arrived too late to take off for the moon wi th Andy, so he will leave next week. We are proud to say Joyce Ann O ' Neal, a housewife, is part time dental assistant to Dr. Killjaw, whose slogan is, Pull all, leave none. William Ed Basnight, living in Key West, Florida and taking life easy, is enjoying one of his hobbies--takingbig fishing parties out on his hundred-foot yacht. Mrs. Sherlin Carawan, need we say Joyce Wheeler, is busy with her own nursery where she practices practical nursing. Douglas Tunnell, civil engineer, is busy nowadays trying to meet the deadline on the bridge across the Atlantic Ocean. He always was one for putting things off until the last minute. Head switchboard operator at Station WHHS is Marie Midyette, who is also happily married. Are you in need of a new tractor? If so, look no further. John Jay Harris has just developed a new tractor that will pull in wet Hyde County mud, w ithout strain, and not get stuck. See him for further information. The final item of news. Becky Anderson, a housewife,is also a registered nurse working in the children ' s wardatthe new Riverside Hospital in Hampton, Virginia. Listen for a similar broadcast on May 27, 1980. Prophetesses: Becky Anderson Marie Midyette Cast Will and Zestament We, the class of 1960, do hereby make this our last will and testament.
