VOLUME VII THE REBEL WE DEDICATE TO YOU. . . Michael D. Crowe The Graduating Class of 1969 proudly dedicates the Rebel to a great educator and friend, Michael D. Crowe. Mr. Crowe started teaching at West Hopkins in 1964-65. In our freshmen year he became our sponsor-a role he continued to assume through our graduating night. Many Friday afternoons will find him on the golf course, on the baseball field or in his favorite hunting spot. This year Mr. Crowe is teaching two Algebra I classes, one Algebra II class, one Chemistry class, and a College Prep Math class. Where’s the game, Mr. Crowe? 5 REBELS COME • • SAIIV with FAVORITES It all started when Karen was in the eighth grade. She decided to become a cheerleader and she has been one ever since. This is Karen’s first love; her second is two horses named Show Down Dot and Scarlet Hank. With this pair she has won approximately thirty trophies. For three years Ricky has bounded onto the floor at the beginning of each game. His strong- est point in these games has been his shooting ability, especially at the free throw line. In 1967-68 he got an all district honorable men- tion. MR.
