The 1964 REBEL invites you to a journey through West Hopkins High School. The staff purposes to give you a picture of our activities, classes, organizations, students, and faculty - a story told in pictures and words of our work, our play, and our goals - a story of a school dedicated to make tomorrow’s accomplishments better than today’s achievements. It is the hope of the graduates that those left behind will gain a thorough knowledge for a worth-while purpose. It may be that a green freshman will be a doctor, a silly sophomore may be a future chemist, or a jolly junior may be a lawyer. Time holds the key to the future achievements of our school. Our school was built for the purpose of obtaining a much-needed education with its first run for this race beginning last year. With the help of the parents, teachers, our community, and the desire for this goal in each student's heart, our race will be a success. This book is the finishing touch to our high school career. To present the cherished memories of our high school days from fading, we proudly present THE REBEL. MR. AND MRS. JEWELL LOGAN For their devotion to their vo- cation, and for the interest they have shown in the individual pupil and the entire student body, we, the Rebel Staff of 1964, dedicate this second edition of THE REBEL. Mr. Logan is a science teacher and has served as coach, while Mrs. Logan teaches in the Business De- partment. They have one son, Jim- my, age two. Both Mr. and Mrs. Logan sponsored our class this year and have been of infinite help to us. May their future years of teaching bring immeasurable satisfaction and happiness.
