SADD In its first year at West, Stu- dents Against Drunk Driving QSADDJ has a sparse but devoted membership. Though they are lacking in number, they are not without optimism, feeling their membership will grow as more students become aware of the se- verity of drunk driving. In mid- December three students, Kim Shearer, Dawn Frantz, and Jen- nifer Platt, attended a state wide SADD conference in Stevens Point. There, they participated in workshops and found out what other organizations were doing throughout the state. Ms. Reffner advises. STUDEV Xl P14 Row 1: Rick Colby, Dan DiPrima, jefferson Stanley. And for the Barbarians: Letters sent to the Pope have had no response and therefore we are breaking off diplomatic re- lations with the Vatican. Attempts to revive the Latin Air Force have not been successful, but beware of killer pencils and the Killer Bitte. Oth- er events have included visits from Dr. Ruth, He- Man, Officer Mike Masterson, and a she-lion. The Latin Guard, led by Rambo, foiled plots against the Mag and is preparing to revive the Punic Wars by invading Libya. LATINA VIVIT SEMPERl STAGE CREW Mr. Rafoth ladvisorl, Tracy k Comb Schwenk, Ric op: David en. t from ell ck Kenney, jon Lu wise Clo ,rag Q Two times a year, during the fall play and the spring musical, the small but active Stage Crew, under the supervision of Mr. Rafoth, works until all hours of the morn- ing building sets, finding props, bracing platforms, hanging lights, and pushing '57 Chevies up icy Ash Street. This year's play: Spoon River Anthology, did not involve as 5 much work as some past presentations due to the sparse set. The Crew for Spoon River consisted of Jennifer Schulz, Cherie Urban, Peter Walz, Andrew Caddock, and Miriam Temin. During past shows Stage Crew has had to come to school as early as 7:00 AM on Saturdays! Sometimes, they even had to leave homework until 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning during the week, only to be bossed around and kicked by the unappre- ciative actors. As much as they complain, though l l want to go to bed D the Crew has a great time and produces a great show. Here's to another year of Summer Sausage and Colby, Bill the dustpan, and Mountain Dew.
