Practical Skills Are Developed l. 9, Miss Norton, Miss Lange, and Mrs. Sarver Typing, Business English, Business math and accounting are some of the courses taught by Miss Mareta Schmidley, Mr. Bruce Straw, and Mrs. Helen Johnson. Mr. Straw is in charge ot the textbook department and the school accounts. l l Typing and shorthand are valuable skills tor future college students as well as those who will enter the business world. Business education classes are taught by Miss Viola Norton, Miss Dorothy Lange, and Mrs. Eleanor Sarver. Other classes in this department include accounting and ottice practice. Miss Lange also advises paper shop. Miss Norton is the chairman ot the Business Education department and is also an advisor to Business Club. Talents Directed by Mechanical Arts Mr. Orville Evans, Mr. Wallace Bondhus anal Mr. Frances Fallon are the members of the industrial arts de- partment. Department head, Mr. Evans teaches graphic arts, and woodworking. Mr. Evans is also the Cross-Coun- try coach. Mr. Bondhus instructs classes in power me- chanics, machines and metals. Mr. Fallon specializes in drafting. Mr. Bondhus, Mr. Fallon and Mr. Evans Mr. Fallon helps Jim Miles, a senior, on a drafting project. Miss Emma Niendort the home economics teacher, directs senior high girls in advanced homemaking methods. Miss Niendort is also an advisor to Future Home-Makers ot America.
