Administration p 49- , Principal R. O. Christoffersen pauses a moment in his administrative duties. Assistant Principal George A. Steiner looks up from his work. To the Class of 1959: You as a class have served as a challenge to the rest of the school and to the entire West High School community. Your athletic teams have been suc- cessfulg your public performances have been well doneg you have placed high in the field of scholarship and in scholastic competitions, and you have exhibited a line sense of discrimination in selecting your leaders. 'iRegent Sweepi' and i'West Wayi' have been pioneering efforts as far as West High School is concerned, and I feel they are definite moves in the right direction. Everything has not tbeen and will not be smooth in the operation of these pro- grams, but the net result will be for the good of the school. You have pointed the way. Keep it up' now and in your life after high school days, and you will improve whatever community you are in, as you have helped improve our school community during the past year. R. O.
