Through tl1S year you see him working hard at all games, plays and concerts, at special P.T.A. functions, and finally at the long-awaited graduation exercises. Slaving away, he takes tickets, ushers, and keeps an 'Aeyc' on all would-be disturbers. Do you have any books on Chopin or Gershwin? Would you get me the latest 'Post'? These and many more questions and requests greet the girls be- hind the library desk. Finding material, charging out books and magazines, slipping and shelving those piles of books you return, and recording the fines you meant to pay, finally collecting the fines and taking care of these green library slips-these are a few of the duties of the girls in the library. Athletics QM! Reaezwea One of the busiest organizations this year was the Girl Reserves, which met every Wednesday night at the YWCA. They made sewing kits for servicemen and paid lor the Thanksgiving dinners of Girl Reserves in foreign lands. A Christmas formal, a hay ride, a skating party, and many dances were held. A newspaper called the Reserves Review was published. A Red Cross girl who had been overseas three years and a university man from India gave detailed accounts of their experiences. Preceding the hunting season, Mr. Frank Mazanet talked on safety. Mr. Iacobson showed pictures of trout fishing on the Brule River. For second semester Dick Mathison was re-elected presi- dent, with Bill Quillen acting as vice-president and Iim Iardine and Ray Hillis as co-secretaries.
