Various clubs held elections the second semester also. luudic Were you in Music Club when we had that wonderful program the other day? This is just one of the many things said after each bi-week- ly meeting of the club, no matter whether th: program consisted of classics or jazz. The ollicers for the First semester were Jack Edson, presi- dentg Gene Bliss, vice-presidentg and Dave Birt, secretary. Thr club has had programs given by its many talented members. Gin- ny Nichols has entertained on the piano several times, the Casida brothers have played their violins, and there has been a variety of quar- tets and quintets. A flute quartet led by Bailvira Hampton played for the ciub. At one meeting, which was particularly original, a German band, csnisting of six instruments, played well known German folk songs. A recent interesting program included srlcctions from Beethoven and Bach, a group of modern songs, and music by a drum trio led by Peggy Mohr. The Club elected new officers for the second semester. They were: Jack Edson, presidentg Rollie Meyers, vice-president: and Gene Bliss, sec- retary. The club this year was as- sisted and directed by Mr. Ernest Stanke. WEST HIGH SCHOOL
