In her three years at West High, Karen has achieved an academic record which will not soon be bettered. As an active participant in the Math Club, Karen has scored high in many meets and tournaments. She has also received a Letter of Com- mendation from the National Merit Scholarship Foundation. Being editor of a yearbook involves many skills; it demands industry and tact. Karen has shown that she has these qualifications; the proof is this fine book. In spite of the demands of studying and editing, Karen has found time to participate in the Rhode Island Model Legislature and the Youth Council to the Governor. Congratulations to Karen and best wishes for the future! seventy-six Salutatorian Ann Frank is also a vital member of our yearbook staff. Her clever, revealing photographs give the book its vitality and zip. She has been busy in a great number of activities, including the Scholastic Aid Club, the Rhode Island College History Colloquia, the City Basketball Team, and the Junior Alliance Francaise. Outside of school, Ann is President of the Alpha Lambda Girls at the Jewish Community Center, and a member of the Rhode Island Jewish Youth President’s Council. When the weather is fine, Ann can often be seen strolling down East Avenue wtih her two big dogs, Max and Rommel.
