Miss Christine Massie Guidance Counselor If numbers are any indication, the guidance office was among the most popular places for seniors this year. Not the least reason for this was our ever-available counselor, Miss Massie, who always managed to reduce our earth-shattering problems to more realistic proportions and then help us solve them. If we, at times, felt she expected too much of us, it is only a reflection of her general op- timism and good cheer, which somehow made our futures seem a little less frightening. We only hope we can carry some of her goodwill with us into the years ahead. Bradford Bachrach Miss Elizabeth Kelly Social Advisor One of the most important aspects of high school life las any Fre«hman can tell you) is the Dance. For three consecutive years, Miss Kelly has borne our pre-Sophomore Hop, Junior Promenade, Senior Reception hysterics with wisdom and patience; and has helped to make all our social functions truly memorable affairs. We thank you. Miss Kelly, for working to help us play. II

Miss Eleanor Cullen Although she is a newcomer to West, Miss Cullen soon found hundreds of frustrated seniors, impatient juniors, and eager sophomores crowding her office. Fitting quickly into the routine, she dispatched all her tasks with efficiency and aplomb, and thus won the admiration of faculty and students alike. We were all curious, when Miss Mc-Kitchen left, as to what sort of a woman it would take to fill her shoes. We know we have found the answer in Miss Cullen. Bradford Bachrach Mr. William McDole Assistant Principal Never an advocate of change for change’s sake, yet ever eager for improvement, Mr. McDole has led our yearbook, newspaper, and school on to success. With his promotion to assistant principal, Mr. Dole has continued to guide us, wisely yet tactfully, with a ready smile and an ever-extended hand. All of us join in saying thanks, Mr. McDole, for being a friend we could count on.

Mr. Manuel Fernandes Yearbook Advisor An open mind is a rare virtue. Mr. Manuel Fernandes possesses such a quality. He willingly listens to the ideas and suggestions of staff members before reaching final conclusions. He is highly esteemed by the student body for his enthusiasm and interest. Although it was his first year as advisor to this publication. Mr. Fernandes has displayed a great aptitude in the coordination and promotion of the yearbook. His z?al will never be forgotten. The clamor of dissent, the relief of compromise.
