MISS MARY E. KELLEY Social Advisor As we leave West, we would like to extend to Miss Mary E. Kelley our sincerest thanks. Through her unceasing efforts our social life at West became more pleasant. Her advice aided the committees in making their best and sometimes difficult decisions. Her self-sacrifice and desire to help are appreciated by all seniors, for we leave not with emptiness, but with a mind and heart filled with joys and memories never to be forgotten. MISS MARY J. McKITCHEN— Dean Guiding us through the darkness of indecision Miss Mary J. McKitchen has been a shining light to the class of 1962. She has tried to steer us down the path of righteousness. Within the Dean’s domain, we have been helped, encouraged, and directed toward our futures, whether it be the college or business fields. We would like to leave a sincere “thank-you” to Miss McKitchen for her devotion and untiring effort.

Principal’s Message Relentlessly time moves forward, and yesterday’s Sophomores are suddenly Seniors, and it is tirrie to say farewell. In the interim, we of the Staff and Faculty have learned to admire and respect you as individuals and friends. It is our fond hope that the lessons inculcated during your three years at West High have found a solid basis in your minds and hearts. We earnestly beseech you to look forward with courage, and look back without regret, because only in doing so may your futures be assured and your ambitions realized. Thomas J. Moriarty, Principal

MISS MARY C. McKEOUGH—Class Counselor Many of the class of 1962 have been perched anxiously on the familiar chair beside Miss Mary C. McKeough’s desk. Reporting to us our faults and explaining recoveries with awareness, she has been a comfort to us during our days of confusion. Miss McKeough has enabled us to discern among our opportunities and the practicalities of our problems. She has been kind and understanding, and we shall remember her with the understanding that she understood. MISS ANNA C. BROPHY Class Counselor Looking back upon our years at West, the Class of ’62 realizes with deep, appreciation the devotion with which Miss Anna C. Brophy, our guidance counselor, steered us along the winding path. Her understanding and wise judgment aided many students in making intelligent decisions for both themselves and their families. It is largely through her guidance that we now leave West with determination, whether it be for college, business schools, or future jobs.
