Pazdral As the year closes, the Seniors look back on a path strewn with golden memories and friendships true. The Senior class of '37 has several outstanding characteristics. Among these we find the largest Senior class in the history of West High School. The class has never been very socialfminded as it has never had a class entertainment during its four years of high school days until the second semester of this year when it was entertained with two parties. Many members of this class will leave their names emblazoned on the pages of the history of West High School, due to their brilliant successes on the gridiron, the basketball court, and in various events in the County Meet. This versatile class of '37 has shown its dramatic abilities in the production of a Senior play and a Senior Operetta. The Senior play was a fourfact comedy which won the hearty approval of the audience. The play, Romance in a Boarding House, was given two nights at the City Hall, and the proceeds went to the Senior Class. The Senior Operetta, which is given each year, was entitled Rings in the Saw' dust . This plot was very unusual, inasmuch as it dealt with circus life. The principal parts were taken by members prominent in the Senior class. The Annual JuniorfSenior entertainment and the P. T. A. Party will long be ref membered in the hearts of the members of both the junior and Senior classes. They were gala affairs which proved to be the shining highlights of the social season in West High. The members of the class are reluctant to leave the dear Old West High , but look forward with high hopes to a brilliant future. They are not able to express themselves in regards to the many happy days that they spent there. The four years of school work just completed mean but a stepping stone toward the real things in life for the Seniors. After the Commencement Exercises are over, and school days at West High are gone forever, the Seniors emerge as the butterfly emerges from its ugly chrysilis into the world. Some may seek various forms of higher educationg some may not.
