VVest School Board Trustees Top low left to rxght Ben J Vanzura Pres H J Jackson Supt R Wendorf F F Led nlcky Secy Second row Rud Kolar J M R1pley R S Ray V1ce pres FrankJ Cocek We of the school board now at the end of another successful school sesslon pause a moment to look back over a busy but dehghrful year whlch saw many of our dreams trans folmed into deeds The bare locky unattxactlve grounds of grammar school have been beautlfully leveled and terraced and a wall uh1ch 1S as useful as lt IS ornamental has been bllllt on three sxdes Cement tenn1s courts have been bu1lt and steel slde and back stops have been erected around them steel back stops have also been put up for the hlgh school courts The grammar school has been mred and lxghts bells, and telephone have been xnstalled Just as we have seen our abstract amb1t1ons materlallze Into concrete proJects so now we are begmnlng to see those concrete projects ploducxng xntanglzle and 1H6Sf,1m3b16 ben eflts 1n the effects that they have upon you the pupils 1n our schools The beal1f,1f1Cat1Ol1 of the grounds has an effect upon not only the esthetlc nature of a chlld but also hls mind and attxtude The tenn1s courts have developed a spnlt of good fellowshlp and clean sportmansh1p The satlsfactlon that comes from work well done makes us look forward w1th pleasure to another year where other dreams are waxtlng to be turned mto deeds and into benef1c1al results v - . , - . . , . . , . .
