service groups, individuals adopt helpful projects The Office Practice class begins work on a book of basket- ball statistics. Preparing dessert for a faculty meeting are students in the Foods Service class. wgfiwt stss Sarah Taylor checks out a book to Becky Hartford during her houras a library proctor. Office Practice, Foods Service, and Clothing Maintenance classes assisted other depart- ments and groups by furnishing them with time-saving assistance which also helped the classes in their learning experiences. Library helpers and proctors assisted in the library, offices, and classrooms whenever there was a need for extra help. Some projects carried over outside the school. Among those were the fund raising efforts for the United Fund, the making of baby clothes and children's clothes for Viet Nam and Africa, and numerous Christmas- time projects carried on by clubs. MikerelIa, a take-off on Cinderella, is presented by the Student Council to raise money for the United Fund. Sewing costumes for Brigadoon in the Clothing Mainte- nance class are Belinda Smith, Margie Estes, and Barbara Loucks.

frontier frolics winter carnival raises project funds In order to raise funds for the all-school pro- ject, Frontier Frolics was held. Clubs ofthe school participated by setting up and operat- ing booths. Some were ones in which partici- pants could try their skills and others were ones at which some could try their skills on others. There were seventeen booths in all at the carnival. A small admission fee was charged to enter. The climax ofthe evening was an all- star faculty basketball game. The basketball players were the coaches and referees. It was a successful and fun-filled evening for all who attended. Top: All wet, Stella Perkins rides the dunking machine.
