FOOTBALL Varsity gridders extend win streak to 33 games Another year, another season, another city league tootball title-that's the way things shaped up at West this year. The Pioneers proved to have too much power and determina- tion tor opponents as they stretched their win streak to 33 games without a loss. The opening game. at Ark City, was a good start tor West's win streak as they pinned a 20 to O loss on the Bulldogs. Heights, the tirst op- ponent to score, also was downed 3l to 6. Deteat came next to Southeast, as the Pioneers rolled to an easy 27 to 7 victory. ln what is otten called the best game in the state, North tought gallantly but met a bad streak ot luck as they tell 20 to l5. East and South were the next teams to taste deteat as the number one gridders won handily by margins ot 28 to 0 and 60 to 6. Newton also went home empty handed as they lost 4l to 6. In the homecoming game with Kapaun, the Pioneers won their thirty-second game without a loss. The score was 42 to 0.
