Think it could be better? Well, here are the stu- dents to whom you may voice your compliments or complaints. These staff members face the difficult task of planning a yearbook which will meet the demands of the major- ity of West High students. Also, many im- portant features of the yearbook have been granted more generous coverage, and emphasis has been placed on indi- vidual poses wherever possible. The l959 Trail staff expresses the sincere desire that all of these additional features, and the many others which you will find in this year's Trail, will meet with general stu- dent approval, and will combine to produce one of the finest yearbooks in the history of West. . WAGON WHEELS we f- nv-f Margalee has been an active member of Pep Club for the past three years. She has also been a member of Girls' Choir and Y-Teens. She has made many friends through her winning smile and sparkling personality. During the past year she has held theoffices ofactivities editor for the '59 Trail and president of Y-Teens. Her scholastic achievement was rewarded with a scholarship to Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma. Dennis and Margalee are both active in the youth program of their local church. I6 Dennis Rutledge and Margalee Pil- kington were chosen as royalty of the l959 Trail. Personality, scholastic achievement, and contributions to West were the basis on which they were chosen. Whether attending a student council meeting, collecting money for Teens Against Polio, or singing in the West High Choir, Dennis is always an out- standing leader. He has led the senior class of l959 through the difficult sopho- more year, the in-between time of being a Junior and, finally, through the last year at West. Dennis has also taken an active part in the sports program.
