No more could she be counselor or friendg The time would drag, for now they were apart Until at last the day when war would end. Her life seemed desolate, and dreary gray. She slowly cleaned his room and shed a tearg She cried a bitg then wiped her tears away. A patriotic mother does not fear. A Red Cross meeting! That would be the thing! She left his room and quickly donned a hat. Slowly her mind again began to sing.
