1960 1980 Twenty years! Each year a blur of classes, dances, athletics, and outside activities. Each one with its own significant se- quence of events marking it a special year. Yet this year is significant in itself. In 1980, approximately 2840 students and staff celebrate the 20th anniversary of West High and consequently, the 20th volume of the Shaheen yearbook. In rushing through the year, students tend to over look the stable factors as well as the little known facts. ln celebrating our 20th anniversary, the Shaheen is ob- serving both the obvious and obscure details which enable us to see all aspects of West with 20f20 vision. With many students coming from surrounding towns, several miles away, bussing becomes a key means of transportation to and from school. Members of the Pep Club, includ- ing senior Robin Koehler, help to promote school spirit by letting nu- merous balloons into the air. 5 NOQX
