The clanging of metal, the nonchalant tossing hack and forth of inane conversa- tion, the dumping of schoolhooks into a sorrily cluttered locker, the facial expres- sions spelling out j-0-y when the time 3:50 is glimpsed on a hall clock - all these characteristics are common to the halls of West High School. Queen Ioyce Faison Attendant Iane Gosma Attendant Sue Murphy Royalty reigns over game and dance Homecoming -f the day starry- eyed girls and inspired football players await in tension - that decisive day which will determine success as an athlete and as a dancer. Traditionally known as Falcon Days to WHS students, this is the time of year when Football Fervor reaches its ultimate glory. The whole spirit of the 1971 Falcon Days Week was embodied inthe slogan: Let's Get It Together . Monday, October 11 saw this slogan in effect as Falcon Days Week commenced. Twelve girls experi- enced the realization of a dream as they were escorted 'round the royal W during the presentation aud. The candidates developed individual character in the faces of Ioyce Faison, lane Gosma, Anita Harkins, Colleen Hayman, Mary Keller, Sue Murphy, Linda Nien- aber, Pegi Protheroe, Connie Schebler, Vicky Schroeder, Mari- lyn Shinners, and Pam Vyhnak. 22 t me Attendant Linda Nienaber Attendant Pam Vyhnak
