LTHOUGH it has been the custom in the past for the Girl Rooters' f Club to serve a banquet for both the football and the basketball teams. this year that organization, on account of lack of funds, gave a luncheon instead. i X.f Q I . kt ' At this luncheon, which was held in the school on December 7, they served chocolate ice cream in the form of footballs, sandwiches, and cake. After Reba Cleveland, president of the club, had welcomed the team, speeches were given by Coach Beichly, Mr. Weiss, Captain Tim Brewster, Captain-elect Dick Fischer, and llflanager Harold Kannel. The Girl Rooters are in the habit of holding candy sales to meet expenses. In addition, dur- ing the past football season they rendered service by selling small megaphones.
