Rodeo General Staff The Rodeo General Stall' was composed of members of the senior classes who volunteered their time and effort in order to make possible the record of 1175 Rodeos. There was a speaker and solicitor appointed for each rooin. lt was the fllllj of the speaker to acquaint the students with the real value of the Rodeo and to explain the benefit derived if sullicient Rodeos were sold. The room was then turned over to a REPR'35ENTAT1l'l'l MEMBERS solicitor who finished the task of getting subscribers and collecting the advance payment of 331110. The campaign was directed and car- A6 ried out by -loe Seibert, the Business Manager, assisted hy the floor managers. Milo Shaffer and David Radam. Much of the success of the campaign was due to the efforts of Mr. Neuensch- wander. faculty advisor of the staff. Lariat Executive Staff Thr l.11rit11, XVest's school paper, is a five column paper which, until this spring semester of 1928. has heen published only every two weeks. Through the efforts and co-operation of the staff, the news English classes, under the direction of Mr. Patil Nlurplley. printing classes, under the direction of Mr. H. A. Sargent, and the student body, a weekly paper is heing produced. The staff is issuing seven six-page and seven four-page papers. which are being produced at the former cost of fifty cents. The hrst edition of Tiff l.1u'laf in the spring of 1922 had :t circulation of six hundred. while the present circulation is sixteen hundred, The paper then was a four colutnn. four- page paper. The reporting for Thr I,u1'if1I is done hy the students of Mr. Nlurphefs new lfnglisli classes. 'lille material is arranged by the members of the editorial stati who ohtained their position through the interest of the news classes. The present editor-in-chief with Mr. Mur- phey select the editor-in-chief for the next semester: the three select associate editors and other mernhers uf the staff.
