page twenty seg-,tsffi 1' X President BOB BROWNLEE Secretary CAROLYN WEIDNER Vice-President JERRY HORN Treasurer WANDA FREEMAN 0 JUNE The June Class of l954 elected the following officers in the early fall of 1953: Bob Brownlee, president, Jerry Horn, vice-president, Carolyn Weidner, secretary, and Wanda Freeman, treasurer. The first class meeting took place on the morning of October 21 when the class decided on the amount of dues they were to pay and set the date for their Senior Mixer which was held in the gym November 20. Soon afterward rings, pins and Iavaliers were purchased, each senior hastening to wear them as conspicuously as possible. Money expended on class activities was derived from the collection of class dues and the sale of name cards and invitations. The Senior Banquet was held in May and every senior has memories of the Senior Prom which took place a week later. Baccalaureate was held June 6 followed only a few days later by the last gathering of the seniors, their graduation. Though they have left these halls and classrooms, their thoughts will wander back throughout coming years to the experiences they have gained here, and these thoughts will become a silent tribute to their Alma Mater, West High School.

TER ALMA MATER ' ALMA MATER As towards the west the constant sun proceeds Day after day across the sky, So do our hearts hold true to you, West High, West High, West High. Men view the sun in many a distant land, His face still westward in the sky, Though we should go as tar, we'll love West High, West High, West High. And 'til the sun forgets his ancient goal And seeks a new path through the sky, Our loyal hearts shall beat for you, West High, West High, West High. page nineteen ATER ' ALMA MATER ' ALMA MATER ' ALMA MATER
