january Prophecy In a grave yard dark and drear Stands Dwight Reynolds-2304 the year. I-Ie sta11ds among the white tombstones, Beneath each one lies a Classmates bones. He's stooped and bent, but his eyes are clear As he reads the epitaths of his friends so dear. Here lies Phyllis Trnizft, the tight-wire artist VVhere she fell the floor was hardest. Next he saw the stone of John N eff, He turned out to be a wrestling ref. Then Dwight's attention came to Don Dolder, A movie idol with a very 'broad shoulder. Nancy M iller a spaghetti house ran, VVitb Frank Policaro being a frequent fan. A roving reporter was handsome Ray Fenner, 'While Fred Batteiger sang in a quartet as a tenor. Chuck Pennington became a collector of taxes, And Dave Pan! was seen modeling menls apparel at Sache's. Bob Reed was an instructor at Roger Ells, Wlhile Virginia Hunter worked in a restaurant and served fine M' arty Barker was the editor of several papers, As fean Mason was in Burlesque and cut quite a few capers. Dick Burnett sailed the seas, being a sailor, And Dick Colbeek kept the streets safe by being a jailor. Doyne Basyc was the leader of a very line band, VVhile Mfarren Stephens voice was heard all over the land. M arcia Pazfridge was a bathing suit model, And Bill Voss delivered milk in a bottle. Jeannine Dickendasher became a clerk in the public library, VVhile Nancy Johnson had many loves but did not marry. Ronnie Krerns became a judge of domestic relations, And Eleanore Gilgfien with a nursery school had much patience. Nursing was Jeannette Fulton and fo An-iz. C olliins' professions. And Eva Leslein wrote a column of true confessions. Jerry Cline made good in the water follies, As Jian M artln judged the Atlantic City dollies. Jim Smith, the funniest circus clown, Often entertained Ted Follmer, the busiest executive in town. Larraine Srnith served her country as a wave, VVhile Bob Ryder turned hermit and lived in a cave. Donna Williams became a designer of hats, And Irene Batte-iger raised Persian Cats. Nancy Fleming became a soap box orator great, Vtlhile Jack Hagans lived on the river and sold live bait. A chicken farm had Verna Jldfanson, VVhile Donna Zlfllthojf entertained by dancin'. Rolland Ealy designed rockets to travel to stars, And Jane H ogabafum instructed students in the driving of cars. fo Ann Inzboden became a famous weight lifter, Vllhile Terry Horn worked in a bakery as a flour sifter. An accordian TV artist was Shirley M cCar1ey And fini Graham was a stock broker in wheat, corn, and barley A collector of garbage was Harry Stumjv, Vlfhile Lee Grabill explored Egypt on a camel's hump. Eileen Landenberger was a missionary in old Hong Kong, meals And ferry Johnson became a professional at the game of ping-pong. Eugene Roberts was a playboy-had lot's of fun, And Ronnie Gross toured the country as a traveling salesman. Nancy C onstancs as a beauty operator, gave many a curl, While Rnfh Starkey rode the Wlild VV est as a pretty cowgirl. Here lies Roy JVI a-rfi-11. the great ballet dancer, And here is Dick Jaques the world's greatest romancer.

Dues were squeezed out from piggy banks and pay checks and plans drawn up for the various money making projects. The mixer, called the Mad Plaiders Plaid Partyl' was held in the gym in November and a class sponsored dance given after a basketball game Feb. 1. The most hectic time of all per- haps was when the name cards arrived and each and every Senior was pestered with cries of Gimme a name card, as they rushed around collecting cards from their classmates. QThe Senior lunchroom was a madhousej Pictures, of course, were a big and important item to every- one. Perhaps no one realized just how close gradu- ation was, however, until April I, when it was time to order announcements. Then, on May 2, came the Class Play, Cheaper by the Dozen, with Suzi johnson, Ted johnson, Marilyn Cramer, and Sue Keller. The lovely costumes and Ene acting made it one of the best and fun- niest plays ever given at VV est. Time began to run out as the Senior Banquet rolled around on May 20. The beautiful and never to be forgotten Senior Prom was held on May 28, and the sharp-looking suit-clad boys with their girls dressed in lluffy formals were a sight to behold. The frothy formals and new suits were ex- changed, however, for caps and gowns for Bac- calaureate services on the following Sunday, june 1. Smiles were mixed with tears at the Graduation services VX7ednesday, june 4, and some wh-o thought it would be mela to leave found themselves wishing that they could have their Senior year over again. They will never forget the wonderful fun of the mixer and Prom, the other good times, the Senior lunchroom, the football and basketball games, the dances and the parties that they have enjoyed, nor will they forget their class and their Senior year. It was wonderful.
