Reighley lOur LaTe Principall ln The midsf of life we are in deaTh was broughf home To The WesT High sTudenT body Monday morning, Feb. 26, when The news was flashed from sTudenT To sTudenT and Teacher To Teacher Thaf Dr. H. H. Reighley, school principal, had passed away. Dr. Reighley's career aT Wesf Senior High was phenomenal. Nofed for his adminisTraTive abiliTy chiefly, Dr. Reighley's work in organizing The school sysTem marked him as a school man of no mean abiliTy. He worked hard To perfecT a well co-ordinafed program for sfudenfs and Teachers. STudenTs who were in The doghousef' so To speak, always received a fair and iusT hearing when called inTo conference wiTh Dr. Reighley. As one problem sTudenT expressed iT: Dr. Reighley laid The law down: l knew he was righT and he meanT business. To The greaT maiorify of sTudenTs, Dr. Reighley's counsel and sympaTheTic under- sfanding of Their problems helped Them over many a Thorny paTh. Under his TuTelage have passed Thousands of boys and girls who have become useful and successful cifizens. Dr. Reighley sfood for every good and consfrucfive inferesf. His inifiafive and aggressiveness in behalf of school work was manifesf in The Hillfop communify, The ciTy, sfafe and nafion. Working offen under handicaps and adverse circumsfances, Dr. Reighley's sTrengTh of characfer, supplemenfed by his broad schooling, enabled him To solve many difficulf problems. Wesf High School can ill afford To lose such leadership. The spirif and indomiT- able courage and faifh of Dr. Reighley will ever be engraved upon The hearfs of every Wesf sTudenT. His influence and work will always be an inTegral parT of The school which he loved. His arduous labors in behalf of Wesf High School will also be evidenced in The years To follow.
