2 DIQESENT waz Jzgli School Columbus, Ohio S Witl1 tl1e close of this school calendar year at VVest High School, we proudly disclose a work of the past months, and consequently add another chapter to an already large series of yearboolcs, all of which constitute a pic- torial and written history of this great educational enterprise-VVest High School. It is our earnest desire that our book will be deemed one of tl1e most successful and enjoyable annuals ever. As a means to attain tl1is idealistic goal, we l1ave incorporated an air of naive modernization which we believe will make the IQ4I annual a fruition of lifetime pleasure, one which will afford access to visual, as well as intro- spective inemories of high school days. ln 1941, the motion picture symbolized the most outstanding method of recreation and enjoynient for the American people. It was because of the widespread interest and pleasure in this interesting field that we have se- lected the Jicture show as a back round theme for our annual. l As we open the pages of this memory book, we enter a motion picture house where we shall see the activities of our Alma Mater during 1941. Directors of the film, our executive, Dr. H. H. Reighley, a11d faculty members, expertly guided the actors of the cast, which was one of consider- able size, to a successful production. 'l'hrough the efficient directorship of the faculty, and because of an en- thusiastic, ambitious, and spirited student body, we were able to produce a four star picture about the successful activities of XVest Hi in every field of school life. It is our sincere wish, that in time to come, wherever you may be, or whatever your circumstances, you may re-enter o11r 1941 picture show of the year and recall more vividly the good ol' days.
