Marriage vows are read for Kathy, Anne, Jacqui, and their dates. Catch ‘Em-n-Kiss ‘Em! The Sadie Hawkins dance was a knce-slapper! A country western band set the mood for us gals to grab our guys and mosic on down to the boys gym. Strict “sheriffs” made sure we held hands, but of course, there were those blushing girls who had to kiss their boys out of “jail.” Two, four, and six bit weddings got everyone hitched up in the “biffy” by Marryin Sam and Daisy Mac. 22

“We'll have this gym looking great within an hour .. maybe two hours ... maybe three ... Ray. you’re such a dream ... Tense excitement radiated throughout the Cowboys’ game over Henry. Victory And Then Reflection A twinkle in the eye of Kelly Malone expresses the mood of her exciting day. Bleachers were packed with students, faculty, and alumni. The crowd was especially spirited. Horns, whistles, cheers and screams could be heard blocks away from West. The mighty cowboys burst through their traditional paper hoop and were on their way to an exciting and triumphant Homecoming game. After the game many went home to prepare for the dance. For the first time. West’s Homecoming was stag and in the boys’ gym. What a success! In a world of green, white, and mirrored snow, students danced until their feet ached and then some more. They've really got it all at West! 21
