black unity goes citywide our week was one of culture, learning and pride, we brought in two speakers, mr. calley and dr. a. sullivan, who captured us with their memorable talks, our auditorium began with murmuring voices, dim lights, drum beats and words spoken with heart felt emotion in our dances, the fashion show portrayed the traditional and modern dress of our people, that night, the west area schools gathered at central, we all contributed to the presentation, ate soul food, and viewed cultural displays, we proved that together we can make it happen! elbows swinging and lips pursed, carmen lisa wistfully serenades the audience to gets into the song — funky president. the sounds of in love we grow. ms. luwal and drummer, william doughty stimulate the students and faculty with inspirational impressions of the black history week skit. lisa, donna, marguerite, ozina, wayne, kathy, connie, karen, and gwen join their voices together in a chorus of three x love. barbara parker (b.t.) expresses herself with mechanical movements.

with disbelief, chip baker and kelly malone are crowned mr. the west high auditorium held the serene voices of sheila blizzard and miss snowflake by mary guthrie and Steve Cornelius. and kaihy singing john denver's goodbye again rompers jumped, toppled, tumbled, and collided on the football field during the annual sno-daze romp held after school for all westites. sno-daze sparkle on the class of 1976 showed the real west high spirit through a brilliantly performed sno- daze week, we proved that westites know how to take advantage of the minnesota winter — and bananas too! through thick and thin, through snow drifts and blizzards, we produced a beautiful talent and coronation auditorium, we took to the snow for our free-for-all romp, only to attend a magnificent dance to end the chilling night. 23 doug longjohn kellam and sheila longjohn dornbach eye their next prey. cheryll Oliver and sue kiel live it up to the sounds of the castaways .
