With an awakened awareness of the importance of education, America is realizing that a school is no better than the quality of its faculty. The strength and excellence of any educational program is dependent upon its faculty's ideals, motives, preparation and ability to teach. The faculty of West High School is a group with broad experience and advanced training. They are specialists in both their subjects and extra-curricular activities. In the clubs and organizations, they assist and instruct the students informally. Participation in such activities allow the students and faculty to develop real friendships and make West a truly cooperative school. West High School's administrators, teachers and other staff members give freely of their time and energy in promoting the school and its activities. It is through their interests in students as individuals, that they are able to help with educational, vocational, and personal problems. They give encouragement to Westites that aid them in making the most of their talents and abilities. Their enthusiasm is contagious and often the spark that starts students on their way to various successes. We, the graduating Seniors, have come to realize how much our instructors have contributed to our development, and many of us will know that it was in their classrooms that our careers began.
