She also advises Student Council activities. • Mrs. Contoski is consultant in parent home contact. • Miss Angst, a trained nurse, is at West full time She also teaches home nursing, a requirement for all senior girls. • Miss Lockhart is library consultant and provides reference material for pupils and teachers. OUR PRINCIPAL MISS AGNES E. HOLT University of Minnesoto B.A., M.A. Miss Holt is proud to report growth in all student activities. She taught algebra and geometry at West before becoming principal in 1931. In 1942 Miss Holt took over the job of guiding the school from the front office. Through This Year— OUR ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL MR. JOHN E. MORRIS St. Olaf College B.A., University of Oklahoma M.A., University of Minnesota. Mr. Morris left the ranks of the science department when he became assistant principal in 1942. His chief interest is athletics.

OUR FACULTY Language Arts A study of French, Spanish and Latin is a necessity for those who wish to travel or wish to understand other nations and their customs.
