Class Officers Richard wilson dick stivers has been known as the right honorable chancellor oi the Sonior exchequer ior a year, and during that time has earned for himself the roputation of being a most excellent treasurer. Businesslike at all times, he is capable of helping to direct the activities of the graduating class as is shown by his election to the presidency of tho Sociology club. He plans to enter the University of Minnesota next fall whoro ho will take up an academic course. Dunng his stay at West he has been active as a member of tho track team, and has been interested in all ether sports. His work also includes servico on the Round Table and in tho Student Council. Unassuming, but outstanding, he will be remembered as a true example of a representative Westerner. jfjLfter commencement, when IEAN GREGORY takes up a new life in Chi , West will point with pride to the really remarkable record she has attained during her three years at Wost high school. Besides being a class officer, Jean has been active on the Student Council and a member oi tho National Honor Society. She has had a finger in evory extra curricular pie since sophomore days. Jean officially lives in Chicago, to which she moved last spring, but wishing to complete high school in Minneapolis, she remained in the city, visiting her home during vacation. Soon after commencement she will go to Chicago to live and will attend Northwestern University in the fall. Her departure will leave West rather quiet and many Minneapolitans will miss the dy-

. 'l.ssistant head of this class is MARION SCHELL, vice president. As Studont Council member and an honor student she proves that sho is indeed deserving of tho honor bestowed upon hor by her classmates, and sho has fulfilled the trust to the utmost. Athletically inclined, she takes an active part in tho G. A. A. and W club, and is on the Athletic board of Control. She further plodged hor service to the school upon her ontranco into tho Sorvico club, and she was rewarded for hor untiring oiforts by oloction to tho vice presidency of that organization. Marion's plans for the futuroare still Indefinite, but it is certain that wherever she goes her friendship will be sought, and her future work will undoubtedly be as outstanding as her activities at West have been. Addicted to class presidencies is DON REED, head of tho A Seniors, who has wielded the gavel in his division ever since the start of his career in Calhoun grade school. His experience as a Student Council member from “way-back has given him valuable training as a legislator, and it has also given the graduating class an unsurpassable leader. As sports editor of the- Weekly, he has demonstrated his ability as a news reporter; as ad managor of the class play, he has shown originality and perseverance that excels all othor advertising campaigns; as vice president of his Hi-Y club, the CXC's, he has illustrated leadership Sualities and cooperative onthusiasm tat have assured the succoss ol many enterprises. Despite the long hours this group of activities demands, Don finds time to pursue his studies with so much intensity that ho is a member in good standing of the National Honor Society. Class Officers
