PEACE DEDICATION When the lights came on again all over the world, and the tloodlights once more streamed over the statue of liberty in New York harbor, they symbolized the light that is coming to the world, the light of wise understanding that means Tk the dawn of everlasting peace. Hardly realizing, themselves, the greatness of their deed, hundreds of Westerners offered freely what they had of youth and life to bring i this light to a darkened world. N145 WE DEDICATE this Annual to a true interpreter of music, one who has brought music to us in an understandable fashion, and who has made it exciting and inviting. He has directed our band at football games, pep rallies, assem- blies, and has led our orchestra at plays and operettasg he has made them the best school band and orchestra in the City of Denver. He is known by everyone in the school for the kind of person he is, friendly and efficient, never letting others down and never taking a day off. Like us he has been a student at West, and now he is a teacher developing musicians and music lovers, creating a new interest in lives that before had no means of expression. We know that he will keep on doing the work that he has been doing, and in the manner that has become his characteristic trade mark, because he is happy that way.
