GLH4.-SS When the i943 graduates leave the halls of West on June ll, and their days as high school students become memories, among those that linger longest will be the Senior Gingham and Cord party, the outstanding athletic year of l942 and l943, in which the wrestling team won the title and the basketball squad reached the state tournament, the Senior-Junior prom, the i942 and i943 Color Weeks, the Senior assembly- l Hear America Singing, and the qraduation, the theme of which was l Hear America Singing. Some seniors will enter the armed forces, many will go into war jobs, others into civilian jobs, and a few will enter institutions of higher learning. Throughout the stay at West, the class of '43 has been led both by student officers and faculty sponsors. Mrs. Helen Bayliss and Mrs. Opal Riddell have been the head faculty sponsors, assisted by Miss Louise Starr Peck, Mrs. Josephine Blose, Miss Ethel T. Odgers, David S.
