Storewvrd This year's WESTWARD l-IO attempts to catch and hold the drama of nine months of work and play, success and defeat. l-lere your Scenario Department has tried to place, in permanent graphic form, the action, the color, the gla- mour, and the high comedy produced by two thousand lives brought together daily in a spirit of hope and enthusiasm. You will find in these pages the records of our successful productions and our box-office flops. In them you will meet the directors and the cast, the stars and the poor little stand- ins, and the fans. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is here, and the somewhat lesser but still important Actors' Guild. We have kept the records of the stunt men. The .Associated Enterprises all Cwe hopel are shown. The publicity men, the cameramen, the Executive Board, and even our own Board of Censorship are present. We bring you once more our hard.-working Casting Directors fwho not only cast, but sometimes cast outl. We give you the four out- standing performers of the year, and the six highest-paid stars. For every department of a big producing studio has in West High its counterpart. And now, our new Producer has made his bow. The scene is set, everybody is in his place, and the show is on.
