The main purpose of the Camp Fire Club of West High School is to better the lives of those who participate in the club. It helps the members to realize their place in life, and it develops the girls' mental attitude towards the future. To work and play together for the enjoyment and advantage of the girls and for the service of others is an objective for which this club is striving. Camp Fire stimulates friendship, gives glorious fun indoors and out, and builds character through its domestic achievements. The law of the Camp Fire: Seek beauty, Give service, Pursue knowledge, Be trustworthy, Hold on to health, Glorify work, and Be happy, is a standard that every girl seeks to attain. Girl Sports donated a tennis cup several seasons ago, and each year pro- mote a tennis tournament, in which the champion's name is engraved on the cup along with the year of her success. They also encourage minor sports such as ice skating, swimming, and ball games of every type. The social life of the club is outstandingg parties, hikes, an-1 dances are given in line with season and holidays. Medicine is not the only interest of this club as they have already had two parties where the members enjoyed games and dancing.
