There are now a total of 374 members of our chapter. The active members now in West are: Ida Monico, Pres. jean Craig Marie Off Lucille Kuster, Sec. Jones Esther Sheiffer i Sam Butler Morris Judd Ellen Sorling George Cooper Edith MacFarlane Lucille West The members of the Society are chosen because of their high qualities of Scholar' ship, Character, Leadership, and Service, which are the four cardinal principles of the Society. I The symbolism of the National Honor Society is portrayed by the keystone which denotes perpetual stability, and the flaming torch which is the emblem of its purpose. To bear forward the searching light of truth, to lead that others may folf low in the light, to keep burning in their school a high ambition for the enduring values of life, and to serve, these purposes are symbolized in the torch. h LLiiTl'2L' f' f
