The West High Warrior Marching Band proved once again to be the Pride of the West , as they sounded off this year by winning an unbelievable score of awards and an equally unbelievable number of events. Among the many events in which this Band of Renown participated in this year were the Winter Pops Concert, The Music Festival at Avia- tion High, West High Spirit Day, the half-time show at the Rams game, a number of parades which included, for the first time for any Torrance School, the Rose Parade New Year ' s Day. Under the superb direction of Mr. Ronald Large, and with Drum Major Alix Plum, the West High Marching Band marched its way triumphantly through another glorious year. 92 West High Marching Band

Auxiliary Units The 1974-75 Warrior Band Auxiliary Units have participated in numerous activi- ties. These include football and basketball halftime shows, supplementary entertain- ment for concerts, and representing West High at many competitions. The Auxiliary Units were led by Majorette Captain Sandy Robbins, Banner Captain Cathy Stone, and Pennant Captain Kris McKee. These award winning units spend many strenuous hours after school and in the evenings preparing for their performances. Their diligence has helped the Warrior Band achieve such honors as performing in the Pasadena Rose Parade and the LA. Rams halftime show. Their achievements include the Pennants taking third place at the West High Spirit Day, the Majorettes taking the Sweepstakes Award at the Hawthorne Band Review, and first place at San Gabriel and Camp Competitions.
