Girl Kickers Make Good . . . There is a reason for our fine season record of 30 wins, 1 loss and I tie. That reason is be- cause 29 girls were totally dedicated to skill improvement and good physical conditioning. Last year we won our share, but this year through determination to improve team play, we had almost a clean-sweep of wins. Our opponents included everyone who was willing to field a girl ' s team. Pacific Christain College was our season opener. We then played many 1st division and Senior division AYSO teams. Three high schools joined us- South, Lennox and Aviation and next season there be other schools so that eventually a league may be formed. Christy Gearhart was our Most Improved Player while Penny Sebastian received the Senior Trophy . The Most Inspirational trophy went to team captain Kathy Hazzard. Above and beyond that we have ' Tuffy the Tiger , an award that goes to the most aggres- sive player on the team while she still maintains the heart of a true sportswoman. The Tuffy award winner was Jan Smisek. Coach Wilma Dasche 82 Girls Soccer
