Sadie Hawkins Returns Big Hit!!! Hey, Ya ' ll! The traditional Sadie Hawkins dance done returned to West a kikin ' and a hol- lorin ' and it plum tuckered out those kinfolk that attended - but they loved it just the same! And danged if we didn ' t do plenty of activities such as: Pie eatin ' con- tests, apple bobbin ' , marryin ' Samantha and Sam, (real nice folks!) and spon- taneous squaredancin ' ! Ya-Hoo! The whole thing was done sponsored by the Girls Athletics Department in order to help raise money for some lucky senior gal. The new fangled rock sounds came from a group callin ' themselves Mammoth . My golly, the whole dern thing was jus ' plain entertainin ' ! 34

The Other Side of Love Choir Assembly The Other Side of Love was the wide-range theme used for West ' s 5th Annual Choir Assembly held in March. Ah, yet an- other array of specter and thought provoking words of inspiration filled this assembly with members of the Aristocracy reciting speculations of love written by Carol RegaTs AIP class. To add to the decor of the presentation, the singers all wore T- shirts with hearts on the girls and arrows on the boys to symboli e the romantic side of love. It all helped set the audience in a mood to readily perceive what they had to offer: a combination of songs such as, Come Share My Life, Rainy Days and Mondays, Tomorrow ' s (ionna Be a Brighter Day, and All I Know. Choreography and solos also helped the Assembly to run smooth- ly. The solos were performed by: Mark (iordon, Laura Charness, and Sue Livingston, each having an aspect of love for its theme.
