WEST ??% HIGH Once a year you can have a hearty feast in West ' s cafeteria. The annual pancake breakfast, held in early Oc- tober, consisted of delicious pancakes and savory sausages. The fine food was prepared by the coaches, served by the Hostess Service Club, and, what little was left over, was cleaned up by the Varsity Football team. The breakfast was hosted by the Letterman ' s Club and the Hostess Service Club. For the low cost and the good food, the deal can ' t be beat. See you there next year. 1 Right: Carol Frehse and Sue Franks taste test for Aunt Jemima. Bottom: Coach Miite Eaton dishes it out. Pancake 22 Breakfast

Jeff Linsky Displays Rare Guitar Artistry Professional guitarist Jeff Linsky, a gradu- ate of West, class of ' 69, returned in October for an optional assembly. Judging from the audience ' s enthusiastic reception, one can only conclude that his performance was highly successful. Linsky demonstrated the many different styles played on the guitar, giving a relaxing flow of Flamingo, Classical, Jazz, Contemporary, and a few pieces of his own to the anxious audience. Towards the end of the program, Linsky invited well-renowned guitarist and personal friend. Gene Leis, to accompany himself on stage. Leis played many Jazz songs, which were very popular when he was in high school. Students found this optional assembly both entertaining and worthwhile.
