Ping Pong Club This years Ping Pong Club is one of the greatest groups of Ping Pong players West High has ever seen. With the help of talented and ex- perienced players like Andy Krastins and Dave Liu many students in- terested in trying their hand in this fun sport have become involved in the many tournaments held here at West. PING PONG CLUB: Row 1-Sheri Bernstein, Glen Bernstein. Warner Adachi, Randv Bradley, Andy Krastins, Dave Lui, Dennis Scheony, Kyle Ichikawa, Mrs. Gelbwachs. Row 2-Tom Lee, Elsie Hajek, Billy Sun, Winston Hu, Mike Wyler. Alfred Hu. Bats and Babes The Bats and Babes Club consists of a group of en- thusiastic girls who raise money for the West High Baseball Team. The girls take part in many activities such as a car wash and sel- ling refreshments at basket- ball games. Under the su- pervision of Coach Parks and the leadership of Presi- dent Sharon Lomas, these girls do a great job in sup- porting the West High Baseball Team. Golf Club Even as a relatively new club, the Golf Club has already begun to gain the interests of many students. Under the sponsorship of Mr. Kellogg, the members of the Golf Club, in preparation for tournaments, improve their golf skills. . Bowling Club This years Bowlin g Club has had one of the most enthusiastic years in the history of West High. With the help of Sponsor Mr. Cason and under the leadership of President Doug Smith, the West High Bowling Club not only bowls on a weekly basis but hosts tourna- ments throughout the year. J. ■fj ! Folk Dance Club If you should happen to pass open doors and see a room full of enthusiastic West High Students danc- ing to exotic music you have wandered upon the West High Folk Dance Club. Veterans like Bev Bickel, Rebecca Garcia, and Craig Preston will most likely be there hard at work teaching new members dances and learning new dances themselves from Sponsor Mr. Gold. FOLK DANCE CLUB: Steve Lol ' tis, Irene Kumamoto, Mike Wyler. Mr. Gold, Chris Husmann. Janet Wise. Linda Husmann, Beverly Bickel, Craig Preston, Denise Fish. Chieftains From play productions to dance productions and from band concerts to choral concerts are where the Chieftains can be found, hard at work do- nating their time and ser- vice to numerous school functions.
