Ros anna Reigns As Queen Cherish was the 1971 Homecoming theme. The half time festivities centerea around Rosanna Acuna being crowned Queen. Her court members were Janine Lequin, Karen Stull, Sandy Howland, and Linda Tunison. Rosanna, escourted by her father, wore a burgundy-velvet formal. She was presented the crown by Bill Thomas, senior class president, and crowned by the 1970 Queen, Denise Fred- rickson. The semi-formal dance was held after the game in the gym. The color scheme was white with two shades of blue. Music was provided by The Blue Notes with lead singer and TV star Patti Lee. Homecoming 71 was the highlight of fall activities. The eighteen finalists (pictured opposite page) were Linda Blake, Richel Perry, Amy Kirk, Janine Lequin, Robin Hais- ten, Karen Stull, Karma Huber, Linda Tunison, Cindy Falcon, Cheryl Yeley, Ellen Young, Debbie Cain, Vicky Spencer, Teri Walker, Holi Gordon, Sandi Howland, Ros- anna Acuna, and Donna Sellers. 19

Wacky Olympics Fun and Games The Wacky Olympics was the grand finale of Spirit Week. It was fun for all, with the Freshmen Class being declared the winners. They also took the Spirit Stick away from the MIGHTY but still SPIRITED Seniors. Juniors won the egg toss and the wheel barrel race. Sopho- mores won the bike race. Freshmen won the trike race, ballon shave, and the Spirit Stick.
