Junior Prom 'A Touch ot l-leavenf was the theme tor this years Junior Prom. This was a formal dance spon- sored by the iunior class enioyed by seniors and iuniors ot West and their guests. SOPHISUCATION PREVATLS AT SENlOl2 BALL Wil K Nikki King SENIOR COUPLE and Howard Theoml-e COTTONS ARE OFFIOALLY lSSUED lN ii 77 Sophisticated Swing forms the theme for Senior Ball Senior Ball On January 31, the sen- iors presented their Senior Ball. The Theme this year was Sophisticated Swing and the colors used were black, white, and red, and a touch of gold. Huge squares ot black, red, and white lowered the ceiling ot the gym, torming a giant checkerboard. Streamers ot Cotton April 24th saw the an- nual Girls Club Cotton Ball whirl into motion. The theme, Spring Frolicf was carried out with rose trees, lambs, streamers, and the theme written on the band- stand. The girls in cotton outfits and the boys in BY COTTON Bf- LL red, white, and black sepa- rated the dance lloor from the ta b I e s and Wests Da nce b a n d. Silhouettes danced along the walls in huge murals. Gold branch- es stood beside each table. The dance was one of the most unusual Senior Balls given in a long time, Ball spring attire danced to the music ot the Swingmasters. The high point ot the dance was the crowning ot the king and queen who were selected by those present.
