RALPH CULVER 1899f195'1 Dedication On February 8, 1951, Bremerton High School lost one of its most beloved teachers, Mr. Ralph Culver. Though he had not taught at Bremerton since last fall because of illness, we shall always think of him as ours. Mr. Culver was one of the first instructors in the state to introduce conservation of natural resources as a subject in high schools. After he began classes in this worthwhile project, many other schools followed his ex' ample. In addition to his many school activities, Mr. Culver participated in many worthy outside activities. We sincerely dedicate this 1951 Annual to Mr. Ralph Culver, whose memory will always live in the hearts of all his fellow faculty members and the many students with whom he associated. fpage three

1 Foreword Here is your 1951 Cat Log. The staff hopes it is one of the best to come from BHS. In it we have tried to get a complete picture of one year of school life-games, dances and other activities. For the seniors of 1951 it will be a memory book: for this year's sophomores, it will be the beginning of a record of their school career. lf you look at this annual several years from now and can remember old friends and events, this staff will have done its job well. For our theme this year, we have chosen one of a combined NavyfNavy Yard nature. Without the Navy Yard, Bremerton would not be what it is today. Through the use of a few pictures and sketches we have tried to bring you a small part of the Navy Yard. We wish to thank Hudson's Studio for being so helpful in supplying us with pictures, and also to thank Mr. LaDuke of the Bremerton Printing Company, who was so patient in waiting for us to meet our deadlines. 1 li, lwol
